Description: Formerly named “Budweiser Brewing Company” owner William Brown agreed to change the name of his brewery to Nassau Brewing Company in 1898 after a lawsuit was filed by Anheuser-Busch. The brewery specialized in lager and although closed in 1916 the building still stands and is now a National Historic Registry.
